Durden Risk Management Ltd was established in January 2008 by Sean Durden to provide a building reinstatement valuation service for insurance purposes, and other related risk management / building surveying products to the insurance industry.
We work in partnership with a select number of companies and organisations who share common values, are considered leaders within their own industry, and promote the best practice by working to the highest standards.

Durden Valuations only use professionally qualified quantity surveyors and formally trained insurance valuation surveyors to ensure the highest standards, with the 2 senior surveyors having over 33 years heritage experience between them.
Our experience is diverse, across most sectors ranging from small domestic properties, country houses, stately homes, churches, cathedrals, large private schools, care home, hospices, premiership football stadia, race courses, high value commercial and residential buildings and large property portfolios. We can also refer you to specialist fine arts appraisers and valuers.

Strategic Partnerships
We work in partnership with Gleeds, a firm of international management and construction consultants, and have developed an innovative insurance reinstatement valuation service enjoying preferred service provider status with Zurich Insurance.
Durden Valuations are also insurance reinstatement cost assessment consultants to BCIS, the Building Cost Information Service of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), who are developing online domestic and commercial reinstatement cost assessment products for the insurance industry.
Durden Risk Control Surveys
Our senior surveyors have over 60 years experience between them, including regional and national management experience with leading UK insurers and loss adjusting firms. We provide risk survey services to insurance brokers and underwriters and will also act on direct instruction to provide bespoke fire, security and health & safety advice to private clients.
We can help you to assess the risks to which you are exposed by completing fire, business interruption, security and health and safety surveys. Our expertise includes large complex commercial and industrial risks, construction sites, high net worth homes, historic or listed buildings and ecclesiastical buildings.
Our service provides best practice advice, and identifies risk improvements to enable you to comply with insurer requirements. Companies implementing pro-active risk management programmes are looked on favourably by insurers and can result in lower premiums. We can direct you to approved providers of risk management products, including health and safety consultants and business continuity specialists.
